The royal antelope which lives in West Africa is the smallest antelope in the world. Adults are only 25-30 cm (10-12 in) tall and weigh about 3-3.6 kg (7-8 lb). A royal antelope living in the London Zoo was said to have had legs thinner than pencils. Its hooves were so tiny that it was able to stand in a teaspoon with room to spare.
