Wolves hunt in packs, following a set plan of attack. When tracking a moose, wolves set out in single file. Once a moose is sighted they stand very still, then suddenly rush towards it. As soon as it starts to run, the wolves attack. A large pack of about 16 wolves may track up to 12 moose before finally catching one.
