The killer whale has a tall, thin back fin 6.5 feet (2 m) long, that sticks straight out of the water, like a sword. Another sea creature, the swordfish, has a long snout shaped like a sword, but edged with tiny teeth. This large, powerful hunter catches its prey by swimming among a shoal of fish and slashing about wildly with its "sword." There have also been reports of swordfish piercing and sinking boats.
