According to the Bible's Old Testament, a man called Jonah was traveling by sea when a storm blew up. Superstitious sailors cast the unlucky traveler overboard. A whale swallowed Jonah, but spat him out unharmed three days later. It would be truly miraculous if someone survived in a whale's stomach for three days, because there would be no air to breathe.
