All reptiles hatch out of eggs, but some hatch inside their mother's body. Some reptiles, including most of those that live in cold places, and sea snakes, do not lay their eggs but hold them inside their bodies. Mostly these eggs have very thin shells, eventually the young break through and are born fully formed from their mother's body. She doesn't look after them beyond birth.
