Termites are a tasty food to other insects, particularly ants. Many birds also eat them. There are also many mammals, that are equipped with sharp claws, to break into termite nests, and long tongues to lap the termites up. These include: the South American tamanduas and giant "anteaters," the aardvark of Africa, and pangolins in Africa and Asia.
